Who we are and how we work
A non-governmental, non-profit association founded in 2025 in Velika Kladuša.
CROPP — the Center for Rural Development and Sustainable Production — is a non-governmental, non-profit association founded in 2025 in Velika Kladuša, Una-Sana Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has no salaried staff and works through its members, associated experts and volunteers, from its own community hub.
CROPP acts as a bridge between the field and the system. Farmers know where the problem is; institutions run support programmes; what is usually missing is someone to define the problem professionally, find a partner and a source of funding, and see the work through.
How a project takes shape
Project ideas come from the Development Circle, an interdisciplinary group of young professionals — lawyers, engineers, IT specialists, agronomists — who test each idea for need, feasibility and sustainability before it enters the application process. Whoever brings an idea has priority in leading it.

What we believe
Agriculture must be led by knowledge, not hope alone. Subsidies do not solve structural problems — advisory capacity, management, land use and local processing do. Before every activity we ask what exactly changes, and for whom.
The Development Circle
An interdisciplinary group of young professionals that tests ideas before they become projects. Over 20 volunteers — lawyers, engineers, IT specialists, agronomists. Any member can bring their own idea and lead it through the process.
Objectives
