What we do

Four areas of work — each with concrete services for producers, institutions and the community.

01

Advisory work and training

Expert advice for producers and workshops on soil analysis, fertilisation, plant protection and registers. Knowledge and management decide profitability more than any subsidy.

  • Expert advice in the field and at the CROPP Hub
  • Workshops: soil analysis, fertilisation, plant protection, withdrawal periods
  • Help with registration and annual production declarations
  • Preparing applications to support programmes and funds
  • Economics of small-scale production and selling surplus

02

Heritage and rural tourism

Trails, viewpoints, veteran trees, watermills and the ethnographic collection. We turn what has been preserved into a reason to come and stay.

  • Route planning, waymarking and GPS mapping of hiking trails
  • Viewpoints, rest areas and interpretation points
  • Recording and protection of veteran trees and watermills
  • Ethnographic collection and visitor Info Point
  • Guided visits for schools, groups and hiking clubs

03

Environment and climate resilience

Protection of soil, water and biodiversity, monitoring and adaptation to climate change. Green standards are an opportunity to modernise, not just an obligation.

  • Expert studies and protection proposals for natural values
  • Initiatives to municipal and cantonal authorities
  • Monitoring of habitats and veteran trees
  • Training on sustainable use of forest resources
  • Adapting production to climate change

04

Health and community

Public health panels, prevention work and programmes for young people in rural areas. Community health is part of rural development, not a separate topic.

  • Public health panels with clinicians and researchers
  • Addiction prevention programmes for schools and youth groups
  • Outdoor activity and time spent in nature
  • Cultural programmes and community events
  • Cooperation with patient associations and health centres
